Although the 2010 F150 instrument panel looks the same as the 2009 it isn't. It has a different processor and some other internal components on the circuit board that cause problems for mechanics that think they can interchange them. You can with some proper tools and programming but in general it isn't worth it. Ford made several trim levels including the Platinum edition (which is the most popular). They gauge panel trim levels can be interchanged but we always recommend our cloning service because sometimes if you just swap out the instrument cluster the top four small gauges stop responding.
We receive a lot of the 2010 F150 instrument panels for repair due to the common issue of the gauge needles falling off and failing LCD mileage screens. We also get a lot of requests for upgraded clusters with a larger display screen. If you have any of these common gauge problems or maybe some other problems like failed backlighting, wrong mileage on a second hand cluster, or maybe just a cracked plastic cluster screen give us a ring. We can help!
