For the 2005 F350 Pickup Ford redesigned the instrument panel. In its second generation of digital odometer display, it comes with a more pleasing exterior. Unfortunately, due to bad solder which in turn leads to solder cracking and miscommunication it has a high failure rate. The problem typically begins with jumpy of failing gauge needles and turns into a complete dash cluster breakdown.
