Whether you drive a diesel or a gas Ford F-250 truck the instrument panels are pretty reliable. Over time however they have started to fail. The stepper motors on the gauges are tired which makes the needles on the gauges just drop to a dead position. The bulbs, like any other bulb, only have so much life, and over time they begin to give dead spots on the panel face which is annoying and potentially dangerous driving at night. The mechanical odometer also fails due to the tiny plastic gears end of life.
