It can be difficult to know if you should repair your broken instrument cluster or invest in a replacement. At Instrument Cluster Store (ICS), it is our mission to help ease the decision making process and to guide you towards the best solution.
We offer refurbished and bench tested instrument clusters that are compatible with your vehicle, or we can provide you with repair services for your existing cluster.
There are pros and cons to each solution, so let’s take a look at repairing vs replacing.
The first step is to check with our customer service representatives to determine if your cluster is able to be repaired. If it is, the next step would be to mail the cluster to us for repair. The cost of repair varies depending on the required components that need to be replaced.
On the plus side, compatibility with your vehicle will not be an issue since we would be working on your original cluster. Generally 1-2 business days is required for the repair turnaround; however If the cluster is badly damaged or special parts need ordered it could delay the repair.
Instrument Cluster Store offers full rebuilds, backlighting repairs and LCD repairs. The availability to repair your cluster varies depending on your vehicle make and model. We can help you determine if your cluster is eligible for repair and/or if a replacement would be more beneficial.

Cost: Varies depending on condition. Also requires the cluster to be mailed to us.
Time: Minimum of 1-2 days or more depending on condition.
Compatibility: No issues.
Replacing a car cluster involves some up-front information to ensure accurate fit and function. The only true way to determine compatibility is by obtaining the cluster part number. Alternatively, we can help you determine your instrument panel cluster part number by running your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
We also offer cloning services and mileage correction at additional costs. Cloning services require that you mail your original cluster to us. Both of these additional services require an extra day to implement.
All of our clusters are fully refurbished and bench tested. They are also backed by our 1-year warranty. Again, it is crucial that we obtain the correct cluster part number in order to ensure correct fitment.
Cost: Varies based on cluster model and if additional cloning or mileage correction services are needed.
Time: Depends on stock availability and additional services ( if needed ).
Compatibility: Must obtain cluster part number for proper fitment.
If you decide to go the replacement route, We will need to ensure proper compatibility with your vehicle. This will require you to remove your instrument cluster and locate its part number. Generally your part number can be located on a white sticker on the back.
Some of the stickers may be faded and older clusters may not even have a sticker or number. If that’s the case, give us a call with your VIN# ( Vehicle Identification Number ) and we can help figure out which cluster would be a proper fit.
This is the most important step in the process of replacing a car cluster. But with just a little up font investigation, we should have no problem providing you with the correct cluster for your vehicle.
It really comes down to two deciding factors:
